TS EN ISO 22000:2006 FOOD SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS


ISO 22000:2006 Certification lays down guidelines and specifications required for a food safety management system where an organization in the food chain demonstrates its capability to manage food safety hazards in order to guarantee that food is safe at the time of human consumption. It is applicable to all organizations involved in any phase of the food chain and wish to employ systems that constantly provide safe products. The requirements of ISO 22000:2006 can be adhered to using various internal and/or external resources. ISO 22000:2006 certifications enable an organization to: 


Design, implement and operate a food safety management system that are safe for the consumer as per their intended use

Demonstrate compliance with pertinent statutory and regulatory food safety guidelines,

Evaluate and ascertain customer requirements and show conformity with those mutually agreed customer requirements that relate to food safety and increase customer satisfaction

Effectively communicate food safety matters to their suppliers, customers and other relevant parties in the food chain,

Ensure that the organization conforms to its declared food safety policy,

Demonstrate conformity to relevant interested parties

Seek certification or registration of its food safety management system by an external organization

Make a self-assessment or self-declaration of conformity to ISO 22000:2006.
